About us
The Northern Edit is an independent business based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Our correspondence address is The Northern Edit, Unit 171074, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL. Contact us at thenorthernedits@gmail.com. These terms apply to orders placed through this website and to custom orders we agree with you in writing.
Products, prices and orders
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the final item prices. The Northern Edit is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added or shown separately.
- Delivery is shown separately before payment.
- Ready-made engraved items are produced in limited batches and sold exactly as pictured. Names, wording and other personalised changes cannot be added.
- Product images and colours are illustrative; screens and natural materials can vary.
- Additional garment colours may be available by enquiry and are subject to supplier availability.
- An order is accepted when we send confirmation or, for custom work, confirm the final specification and payment.
- If a product, material or colour becomes unavailable, we will offer a suitable alternative or a refund.
Custom work and artwork approval
These approval terms apply to branded workwear and other custom business orders, not to ready-made engraved products. Vector artwork in AI, EPS, PDF or SVG format is preferred. PNG and JPG artwork must be at least 300 dpi at the intended print size. We review supplied artwork before accepting a branded order and may request a replacement file or agree artwork-preparation work with you if the file is unsuitable.
You are responsible for checking names, spelling, sizes, colour choices, logo files and layout on the digital proof. Production begins only after our artwork check, your approval of the proof and payment. At that point a custom order cannot normally be cancelled for a change of mind. Small variations may occur between a screen proof and the finished print or natural timber surface.
You confirm that you own or have permission to use any artwork, logo, photograph, name or other material supplied to us. You agree to cover reasonable losses or claims caused by your lack of permission. We may decline any order at our discretion and will refund any payment for work we do not accept.
Payment
Website payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Custom work may require full payment or an agreed deposit before production. Ownership of goods passes to you after full payment; risk passes when the goods are delivered.
Delivery, cancellations and returns
Delivery options, cancellation rights, return times and the personalised-goods exception are explained in our Delivery & returns policy. Those provisions form part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under UK consumer law.
Business customers
If you are buying wholly or mainly for business use, consumer cancellation rights may not apply. We are not responsible for indirect business losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of data. Our total liability for an order will not exceed the amount paid for that order, except where liability cannot legally be limited.
General
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory rights you have where you live.
